A Prairie Song

from sugoi! by Tensegrity Nine

/

lyrics

I spent a summer day inside,
searching the internet for metaphors
to make me feel less alive.

They advertise $6000 to sell your unwanted eggs
so they can make other people's babies
come to life.

I want to hyperventilate if it means
getting more fresh air.
My back bicycle tire is flat, running on empty;
like a straight-shot road trip from here to D.C.;
at least you can roll the windows down
and feel the fast moving fresh air
glide.
